The Houlton United Methodist Church held ecumenical Lenten services Wednesday, March 21 with the Rev. Naomi Sam-Kparka, left, joined by the Rev. Art Myers. Myers presented the message “Hope for the Evangelization of all People.” He encouraged those in attendance to “catch the vision, pray and then turn prayers into action.” The final Wednesday evening of community Lenten service takes place this evening (March 28) at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ginny Urbanek preaching on the theme of “Reconciliation of all People.” The service begins at 7 p.m. with a time of food and fellowship following. The offering will support local funding of the Salvation Army’s fuel assistance program.
