Shooting Shires hoop clinic to start

    The Shooting Shires basketball camp will be held for boys and girls going into grades 1-8 on August 7-10 at Houlton Alumni Gymnasium.
    The instructional session for grades 1-4 will be from 8-10 a.m., followed by grades 5-8 from 10 a.m. to noon.
    Camp instructor is Houlton varsity boys basketball coach Rob Moran. The camp will stress fundamentals of basketball in a safe, fun environment. Cost is $40 and is open to all area youth.
    Participants may pre-register by going to Houlton High School, e-mailing rmoran@cla-maine.org or calling Moran at 538-6139. Registration may also be done the first day of the camp.
