“The event was met with so much enthusiasm from the community last year, a second one was planned this year. The evening featured wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, mothers’ dresses and tuxedos,” said Courtney Wetzel, owner of Pancsofar’s.
Wetzel said all attire “was proudly displayed by over 30 local models.”
When asked the reason for hosting the event, Wetzel said, “I believe the community needs an event like this. We want to show people that the best in bridal fashion can be found right here in the county. It gives guests an opportunity to see the gowns on real people from an objective standpoint.”
She credits the show’s success on its unique presentation.
“Most bridal fashion shows are held on a much smaller scale in conjunction with a bridal expo,” explained Wetzel. “Pancsofar’s runway show showcased over 100 different dresses and included a choreographed opening number as well as a surprising grand finale in which models danced to Psy’s popular hit ‘Gangnum Style.’”
Roughly 200 people attended this year’s show.
“The favorites at the show were definitely the last line we showcased for the finale — San Patrick by Pronovias. They’re a new line we’re carrying from Barcelona and have a bit of a European flair. We got a lot of feedback on them the following day at the store — mostly for their unique styles,” she said.
Wetzel wished to extend her appreciation to all the vendors who made the Night of Bridal Fashion such a big success.
“We are proud that our runway show contributes to the social atmosphere of the County, providing a first-class performance that is typical of larger cities,” said Wetzel.
