Rotary tourney slated
PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Rotary Club is holding its eighth annual charity golf tournament Saturday, July 13 to benefit the Aroostook County Chapter of Junior Achievement.
Junior Achievement of Maine, Inc., founded in 1965, is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs in the classroom and in the workplace.
The event will once again feature cash prizes for the winning teams in both men and women divisions and gross and net score categories, as well as prizes for closest to the pin, longest drives and a putting contest. There will be an opportunity to win a new car for a hole-in-one and a barbecue lunch will be provided to all golfers.
A shotgun start is at 9 a.m., with golfer registration at 8 a.m.
There are no handicap restrictions for the three-person team handicap, and the team registration fee is $120.
