Speedway holds 7 competitions

    CARIBOU — A full card of racing was held last Wednesday at Spud Speedway, along with a fireworks show following the event.

    SPUD SPEEDWAY in Caribou held a full racing card last Wednesday. In the northern lights division, taking the top three positions, respectively, were, from left, Wayne Fox of Caribou, Shawn Dewley of Presque Isle and Donald Rideout of Limestone.

    In the outlaw sportsman race, Dillon MacDougal of Fort Fairfield bested Connor Thibeau, also of Fort Fairfield, for the top spot. Jason Levesque of Caribou placed third.
    The fast fours went to Keith Thibeau Jr. of Fort Fairfield, with Derek Finnemore of Presque Isle the runner-up and Matt Lloyd of New Denmark, New Brunswick taking third place.
    Jon Dixon of Presque Isle won the street stock event, with JR Howlett of Mapleton in second.
    The challenger series saw John Craig of Fort Fairfield ride to the win, with Derek Patten of Limestone coming in second and Doug Donovan of Presque Isle placing third.
    Wayne Fox of Caribou won the northern lights competition. Shawn Dewley of Presque Isle and Donald Rideout of Limestone were second and third, respectively.
    In the senior champ karts race, Tyler Raymond of Caribou beat out Mario Picard, also of Caribou.
    The kids kart series race went to Gage Theriault of Limestone.
