LINNEUS – Kenneth A. Bither, 84, passed away January 13, 2014, at his residence in Linneus. He was born on June 3, 1929, in Linneus, one of 15 children of Willis and Clara (Goodblood) Bither.
Kenny was employed by Cole’s Express for 30 years until his retirement in 1982. He and Cathy ran Bither’s Country Inn for 6 years. Kenny was an avid storyteller who loved to camp, enjoyed the outdoors and was very involved with his community.
Ken is survived by his wife, Cathy: his children, Ted, Andy, Ed, Trudy Bither, Peggy Longstaff, Jayne Clark and Cara Williams; several grand-children; great-grandchildren and many other special family members and friends.
Friends may call 12 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St, Houlton where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Bernard Broder, M.Div officiating. Spring interment will be in the Linneus Cemetery.
