The Oakfield Senior Citizens met on May 7 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club for their first meeting in May.
Lots of tasty food covered the potluck table. Bob Locke opened the business meeting with the Lord’s Prayer and flag salute followed by the treasurer’s report and the card report. No secretary’s report was available. Marie Gillotti was the 50/50 winner. “Happy Birthday” was sung to those celebrating May birthdays.
We discussed our first meeting in June and more info will be made available at our next meeting. After the meeting was concluded several members made May Baskets that were filled with candy and delivered to local shut-ins.
Those attending were: Evelyn Johnston, Alma Clark, Marie Gillotti, Bernice Campbell, Bob and Delores Locke, Charlotte Marley, Kathleen Boutlier, Jeanne Clements, Naci Fowler, Sharon Anderson, Wannetta Townsend, Bill Dill, George Barrows, Juanita Wiggins, Iona Nadeau, Millie Gagnon, Ursula Levesque, Donna Furrow, and Earl and Lottie Doughty.
Oakfield Seniors meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Oakfield Snowmobile Club for a time to visit and chat before the 11:30 a.m. potluck luncheon, followed by a short business meeting. Come and join us, visit with your neighbors and make new friends. Everyone is welcome.
