Rotary plans Rec Center open house

The Washburn Rotary Club has been working hard and steady on the renovation of the Washburn Rec Center building on Hines Street. Members are inviting the public in to view their accomplishments on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
During the day-long event, there will be a combination trash & treasure sale and open house, with the proceeds from the sale to support the various local functions of the Rotary. The open house will offer a chance for all to see the updates and meet the volunteers who made it all possible.
There will be a sampling of goodies including sweets, coffee, tea and water. Anyone wishing to donate to the yard sale may drop off items to White’s Service on Main Street.
The proposed new name for the building is “The Mill Pond Community Center — A Community Going Forward.”
    Thank you for your support!
