On Sunday, Aug. 31, the Full Gospel Assembly will perform at the Mars Hill and Blaine Sargent Tweedie Bandstand at 4 p.m. Make plans now to come enjoy this musical event.
Birthday Calendars
The Mars Hill Rotary Club is in the process of updating the Birthday Calendars for 2015. Forms have been mailed out to all residents of Mars Hill, Blaine and Bridgewater. If you have updates for the calendar, or if you would like to be added to the calendar for next year, please fill out the form and return it by Friday, Sept. 5.
Aroostook Health Center
Upcoming events for the week of Aug. 27 through Sept. 2 include: Wednesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Table Tennis at 10 a.m., Crossword Puzzles at 1:30 p.m. and East Ridge Union Church at 6:30 p.m. Thursday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Horse Racing at 1:30 p.m. Friday will feature Shopping Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and a Movie Matinee with popcorn at 1:30 p.m. Saturday will be a free day with games, puzzles and movies available in the dayroom closet. Sunday will have televised church in the dayroom. Monday is Labor Day and will be a free day. Tuesday will feature the Beauty Parlor at 8:30 a.m., Bingo at 9:30 a.m. and Card Games at 1:30 p.m. All of these activities are subject to change. If you would like to volunteer to help with any of these activities, call Connie or Vicki at 768-4915.
Rotary Club
The Mars Hill Rotary Club met on Aug. 19 at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Daryl Boucher of The Aroostook Medical Center. A registered nurse, Daryl is currently serving as the director of emergency and critical care services.
He is working with the Presque Isle Fire Department and other area communities on the challenges of covering the communities with ambulance services.
