BRADENTON, Florida – Bernice Plourde, 93, died December 15, 2014, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton after a brief illness. She was born December 7, 1921, in Caribou, the daughter of Alex and Odile (Castonguay) Plourde.
Bernice lived in Hartford, Connecticut for many years and was employed at the Royal Typewriter Company before retiring to Bradenton. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her home, and helping her neighbors and friends in the park where she lived.
She is survived by her brother, Clarence Plourde of Caribou; sister, Leola Taylor of Bradenton; and 16 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Plourde, and Irene Lazure of Bradenton and brothers, Clifford and Emery of Caribou.
