Robert (Bob) Raymond Knight

     KNIGHT, Robert (Bob) Raymond, 76, PRESQUE ISLE, February 17, 2015. Arrangements are under the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Robert (Bob) Raymond Knight, 76, husband of Simone (LeBlanc) Knight, passed away February 17, 2015, at the Aroostook Medical Center. He was born on October 28, 1938, in Presque Isle, to Bernard and Christine (Estey) Knight.
    Bob graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1957. He worked with his father and brothers, Richard and Gary on the family potato farm. Bob’s knowledge of farming brought him to many farms in the area including the Maine State Porter Seed Farm where he retired in 2003.
    Robert had many hobbies including fishing, hunting, boating, fiddleheading, and tinkering with model airplanes. Bob enjoyed basketball, baseball and most recently, soccer.
    Robert was a past member of the Elks, Masons, and fish and game organizations in the area.
    Robert is survived by sons, Dean of Mapleton, and Daren and his wife, Jennifer, of Oklahoma; two stepsons, Chuck Driscoll and his wife, Teri-Lyn, of Ashland, and Bruce Driscoll and his wife, Teresa, of Ashland; and a daughter, Denise Knight of Standish; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Shawn, Jeanna, Jarred and Jaren Knight, Micayla, Dane, Tyler and Renee Driscoll; siblings: Marilyn Casey of Portage; and brother, Gary and wife, Patricia, of Presque Isle.
    He was predeceased by one brother, Richard; and his parents.
    Robert was known as Dad, Bobby, Pappa and friend.
    A memorial service to remember this kind soul was held Monday, February 23, 2015, at 1 p.m., at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.duncan-graves.com.
