Local chorus to blend 90 voices in concert Sunday
The Aroostook River Voices will present their spring concert Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. at the Ashland District School Auditorium.
The theme is “Life in a Northern Town, Where the Water Flows and the Music Grows.”
Aroostook River Voices is a 90-voice community chorus which features lots of unusual settings for its performances. There will be many soloists, multiple conductors and lots of instrumental accompaniments.
This concert will feature the recent acquisition of six acoustic shells which will enhance each selection.
The audience will be treated to a wide array of musical styles from classical to country, from pop to gospel and from folk to jazz.
Come and enjoy one of the largest choral groups in the state of Maine, right here in Ashland.
