HARDGROVE, Patrick J., Sr., 66, Westfield, May 12, 2016. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at East Ridge Union Church in Mars Hill. Arrangements are under the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
WESTFIELD – Patrick J. Hardgrove Sr., 66, passed away suddenly Thursday morning, May 12, 2016, at his home after a long battle with various health issues. He was born July 19, 1949, in Mars Hill, the son of Bert and Elizabeth (Everett) Hardgrove. He graduated from ACI in Mars Hill, class of 1967. Pat recently retired after nearly 30 years with Time Warner Cable.
He is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Uva (Boyd) Hardgrove; a daughter, Heidi Perkins, both of Westfield; two sons and their wives; Patrick Jr. and Lesley of Westfield, and Jeffrey and Brianne of Presque Isle; four grandchildren, Shanelee Hardgrove who he had helped raise as one of his own of Westfield, Mallori Hardgrove who he “loved to the moon and back” of TX, Kamdynn his little camp “Buddy”, and Kelcya Hardgrove with whom he shared a bonding birthday with of Presque Isle; two stepgrandchildren, Shelby and Jessica Shaw of Westfield; four brothers, Benjamin and his wife, Opal of GA, Michael, Edward “Beaver”, and Everett and his wife, Sharon, all of CT; two sisters, Darla Salemi and her husband, Joel, and Bobbi Jo Hardgrove of CT; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Rosella Large of FL, Orla Carney of Ashland, and Roberta and James Taylor of Westfield; a special uncle, William Everett of CT; several special nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both parents and a brother, Jeffrey.
He will be missed by many especially his Wednesday morning coffee “Bro”, Skip.
