DYER BROOK, Maine — The playoff road came to an abrupt end for the Southern Aroostook baseball team June 8, 2016 as the No. 8 Warriors were upset, 14-5, by No. 9 Stearns of Millinocket.
Seth Garvin singled four times, doubled and drove in four runs to power Stearns to the Class D North preliminary playoff win. Devin Whitney and Ethan Pelkey doubled twice and Zach Bouchard singled and doubled for the Minutemen.
Nolan Altvater singled and doubled to lead the Warriors, while Tyler Batchelder singled twice and Hunter Walker doubled.
