ST. DAVID – It is with a deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Raynold “Nold” E. Dumond who passed on Dec. 7, 2016, at his home in St. David, with his loving daughters and wife by his side. Born November 28, 1944, Nold was the sixth of 10 children to Freeman and Emily (Morin) Dumond, who have predeceased him.

He grew up in St. David, moving to Connecticut as a young man where he learned and excelled in the trade of carpentry. The project he was most proud of was the home he built for his family in Caribou.
Nold was also known for his warm smile, generous heart, willingness to help anyone in need and his love for animals. In fact, his daughters were often the excited recipients of a stray puppy or kitten he would bring home.
Nold was predeceased by his sisters, Cecile (Dumond) Gervais, and Kathleen (Dumond) Michaud; and brothers-in-law, Lanes Bernier and Henry “Hermy” Bernier.
Nold is survived by his wife of 32 years, Isabelle (Daigle) Dumond; daughters, Paula (Mark) Hanchett of S. Glens Falls, NY, and Amy (Craig) St. Peter of Caribou; grandchildren, Danielle McMahon, Andrew McMahon, Dyllan Hanchett, Brittany Hanchett, Janell Carter, and Chelsea St. Peter; brothers, Roy (Sharon) Dumond, Leo (Sherry) Dumond, and Jerry (Lisa) Dumond; sisters, Antoinette Gervais, Noella Bernier, Aline Bernier, and Shirley (Cliff) Cyr; and brother-in-law, James Michaud; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as step-children, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
Services was held at St. David Church in St. David, on Tuesday, Dec 13. Viewing was from 9-10 a.m. with mass at 10 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. Condolences may be sent to www.michaudfuneralhomes.com.
