CARIBOU, Maine — The first meeting of The Glass Is Half Full Task Force brought 20 people from contractors to farmers to a counselor together to discuss possible endeavors for Caribou’s future.
According to a press release issued by the group, they deemed the meeting a success. Member Carla Bell said she was happy such a diversified cross-section was represented, while Sandra Huck, another member, said she was satisfied to see attendees exhibit positive attitudes at Caribou’s attributes.
Member Dave Corriveau said, despite the fact that today’s lifestyles keep people busy, he was upbeat that the task force was off to what he called a “respectful start.”
“We need to design our efforts so that we all participate and contribute a little, and not get overwhelmed to the point we rob our family time,” he said.
“The second meeting will be challenging. We will be designing a method to make this task force exciting and productive. Of course, the more participants we have in attendance, we all share a lighter responsibility,” he added.
Corriveau said TGIHF received mail containing an idea and a perception that will be beneficial, and said the group looks forward to more written correspondence. The task force’s mailing address is P.O. Box 555, Caribou, ME 04736.
The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 6, at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. All are welcome.
