CARIBOU, Maine — St. John Valley native David Levasseur, DDS, has returned to Aroostook County to help expand Pines Dental Services.
“Dr. Levasseur’s arrival enables Pines to make further progress in turning around the chronic shortage of dental professionals in Aroostook County,” noted Pines CEO Jim Davis. “Dr. Levasseur grew up in The County, and it was his strong desire to return “home” after completing his professional dental training in nearby Nova Scotia. We are very pleased to welcome him back.”
Levasseur joins Pines Dental providers Dr. R.C. Taddeo and dental hygienists, Patricia Ericson, RDH, and Lucy Morin, RDH. Other members of the Pines team include Susan Feeney Hopkins, practice manager and Certified Dental Assistant.
Levasseur received his BS from Husson University and completed his doctorate program in dental surgery at Dalhousie University. In his new role as a dentist, he looks forward to working with community members throughout Aroostook County and to provide support to his patients with all aspects of dental care.
His general focus includes preventative and restorative dental services. Levasseur also has a special interest in nutritional counseling, tobacco cessation and other general health and wellness information that support oral health.
In his spare time Levasseur enjoys playing tennis, golfing and spending quality time with his family and friends on Long Lake. Levasseur resides in Van Buren with his family.
Pines Health Services is a non-profit, community-based, multi-specialty medical and dental practice serving the residents of northern and central Aroostook County.
