The County Composite Squadron of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) recently recognized three cadets with outstanding performance awards for their contributions in 2017. Cadet Maxwell Lister, left, earned Cadet of the Month for December, and Cadet Paladin Gibson, center, earned the award in November. They received $10 gift cards from a local restaurant. At right is Cadet Preston Gibson, who received the squadron’s Cadet of the Year award for earning Cadet of the Month four times in 2017. He received a custom-made flag case and CAP challenge coin to mark his accomplishment. The awards recognize the cadets for demonstrating excellence in the areas of leadership, aerospace knowledge and physical fitness. Lister is the son of Jason and Christine Lister of Caribou. The Gibsons are sons of Lorne and Trish Gibson of Presque Isle.
