BRIDGEWATER, Maine – Jean E. MacPherson, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on January 9, 1945, in Middle Greenfield, New Brunswick, the daughter of Henry and Cecilia (Hitchcock) Smith.
Jean was known for being a hard worker, however, she was best known for being a loving wife and mother to her children. She is survived by two daughters, Carolanne Sury and her husband, Mark, of Elgin, SC, and Julia Harris and her husband, Owen, of Bridgewate; two sons, Paul MacPherson and his fiancée, France Gauches, of Rocky Mount, VA, and Clarence “Tate” and his wife, Katelyn, of Bridgewater; four sisters, Florence Swimm and her husband, Earl, of Ontario, Canada, Gladys Giberson of New Brunswick, Canada, Carol Smith of New Brunswick, Canada, and Winnifred Rousselle and her husband, Ulysses, of Juniper Station, Canada; sister-in-law, Reta Hersey of Bridgewater; nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard MacPherson, in March of 2016, daughter, Kelly MacPherson, sister, Geraldine Smith, brother, Ernest Smith, and a very special golden retriever, Goldie.
Friends called from 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Bridgewater Full Gospel Assembly with funeral services following with Paul MacPherson officiating.
