HARTWELL, Georgia, and CARIBOU, Maine – Albert H. Doody, Sr., age 76, of Hartwell, GA, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1942, in Caribou, the son of the late John Doody and Clara Rideout Doody.
He was a self-employed carpenter, and member of the body of Christ, and was ordained by the International Ministerial Association.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel Richardson Doody of the home, his children, Rhonda R. Doody and her companion, Chad Whisenant, of Royston, GA, Cindy and Wayne Bryson of Hartwell, GA, Albert H. Doody, Jr. and Betsy of Martin, GA, and Todd Doody and Debra Seawright of Martin, GA; as well as his brother, Paul and his wife, Joanae Doody, of Eddington, ME; and thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, John H. Doody, and an infant brother.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Crouseville Cemetery in Crouseville. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. Online condolences may be expressed at
