Hypnotist Kerry Sharp to perform at UMFK

FORT KENT, Maine — The University of Maine at Fort Kent will host hypnotist Kerry Sharp on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 7 p.m. in Fox Auditorium, in a performance open to the public.

For 16 years, hypnotist Kerry Sharp has seen a new show every time he takes the stage. What keeps his work fresh and exciting is the nearly infinite power of the mind, and what can happen when the mind is open to suggestion. His show is about having fun and laughing.

He performs a clean comedy hypnosis show with volunteers from the audience. They become the stars of the show and are always treated with respect in a show that is high-energy, hilarious, and always in good taste (PG).  The true magic of his show is seeing people experience the amazing side of their imagination.  The subconscious mind is revealed in a powerful and entertaining way.

Sharp has entertained audiences all over the US with the power of the mind. His specialty is performing at fairs, high schools, college and universities, corporate events and any other place that accommodates entertainment. He has appeared on TV, radio, and in newspaper articles.

This event is free for students, with a suggested donation of $5 for the public. All ages are welcome. Donations will directly benefit UMFK’s Stacy’s Closet, a project aimed at alleviating barriers for all campus students who lack financial means to purchase basic, everyday necessities such as deodorant, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products.

UMFK’s Student Activities office is facilitating the presentation. For more information, contact Selina Castro at 834-7850.
