CARIBOU, Maine — Caribou police have arrested a Perham man in connection with alleged drug trafficking, just weeks after a previous drug- and firearms-related arrest.
Caribou officers first arrested 40-year-old Jason Cunrod on Oct. 10. After receiving a call about an ATV parked on Hatch Drive, police allegedly found multiple firearms, some of which were loaded, as well as methamphetamine and “a large amount of cash,” according to the Caribou Police Department.
At that time Cunrod was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and for being a prohibited person being in possession of a firearm. He later made bail and was given a court appearance date of Dec. 9, 2021.
During their investigation, officers obtained a small safe that belonged to Cunrod and discovered 1.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine and 0.5 pounds of suspected fentanyl, which have a combined street value of $140,000.
After issuing an arrest warrant for Cunrod, police arrested him on Oct. 31 and charged him with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Conrod has since made bail. A second court date has not yet been set.
