PRESQUE ISLE, Maine —The County Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Cherie Gendreau has been promoted to branch manager – Fort Fairfield.
Gendreau hails from the St. John Valley. She earned her associate’s in business management from Independence University in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2017. She began her career in the Member Service Center of Five County Federal Credit Union in Bath. She then came back to the County to work at Acadia Federal Credit Union for four years. She also simultaneously served as the assistant restaurant manager at the Northern Maine Brewing Company in Caribou.
After working as a claims adjuster at MMG and lead teller at KeyBank, she joined The County Federal Credit Union as a real estate & loan operations processor. Gendreau left The County for a short time to work as the restaurant manager at Evergreen Lanes and a commercial loan processor at Katahdin Trust Company. “I want to see the Town of Fort Fairfield succeed and I want The County to be at the forefront of that success,” said Gendreau. “I’m excited to be able to meet my fellow Fort Fairfield community members and give them the financial services and products they need while offering education and support for the future.”
