CARIBOU, Maine — The Caribou High School Class of 1959 held its 65th class reunion on August 17 at the Caribou Inn & Convention Center. The festivities began with a buffet breakfast sponsored by Bill Kelley followed by a time of socializing and setting up the memorial display.
The afternoon session began at 4 p.m. with registration and socializing. A class picture was taken prior to the banquet. The banquet consisted of baked haddock filet, sirloin tips, oven roasted potatoes, glazed carrots, tossed green salad, rolls with butter, apple crisp and coffee.
Class Vice President Jack Abbott was master of ceremony for the reunion and host for the class banquet. Jack welcomed 18 classmates, 11 spouses and guests and delivered the Invocation.
The memorial tables were set up by Linda (Gunnerson) Callison and Vicki King. A beautiful floral arrangement was provided by Bill Kelley. The names of our deceased classmates were read by Linda Gunnerson Callison and David DeMerchant. Candles were lit in their memory. Names were drawn for door prizes and because of the generosity of the committee, everyone got something. We thank the committee for all they have done to make this reunion a success.
