PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Northeast Society for Human Resource Management (NESHRM) is pleased to announce a special seminar that will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Northern Maine Community College’s Edmunds Conference Center in Presque Isle from 1 to 3 p.m.
This seminar is designed for everyone from small businesses to large corporations, including small business owners, managers, supervisors, executives and human resource professionals.
The topic is “Practical Advice for Addressing Workplace Safety and Liability Given the Legalization of Marijuana.” Peter Lowe, an employment attorney with Brann & Isaacson Attorneys and Counselors at Law in Lewiston and Portland, will discuss the recent legalization of recreational marijuana in Maine, including issues about employer liability and workplace policies.
