KAREN D. WADE, MONTICELLO – Karen D. Wade, 58, wife of Terrence Wade, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at her residence. She was born on October 13, 1959, in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Knapp) Lindsay.
Karen grew up as an Army Brat and moved from base to base with her family. Eventually they settled in Amity and she attended Hodgdon High School and graduated with the Class Of 1977. After graduation she had a few jobs before finding a home at York Ford. She worked there for thirty years eventually becoming Human Resources Director and handling warranty. She enjoyed reading, watching old black and white movies, crossword puzzles, as well as shopping and traveling. Karen will be remembered for her quick wit, telling jokes, usually involving her husband, Terrence, and as a caring lady who was always there to help.
In addition to her mother, Alice Lindsay, she leaves behind her husband, Terrence “Terry” Wade, four siblings, Wanda Lindsay, Sandra Tidd and her husband, Rick, Kelly McLaughlin and her husband, Tony, and Chris Lindsay and his wife, Jen, a step-daughter, Nikki Wade, as well as five nieces and nephews, Matt, Melissa, Eric, Josh, and Taylor, as well as several good friends. In addition to her father, Harold Lindsay, she was predeceased by a daughter, Alicia Wade.
Friends called at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Dunn Funeral Home, where funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. with Richard York officiating. Interment took place following, at Foster Cemetery in Monticello. A reception took place at the Monticello Fire Dept. following the committal.
