Cray, Rue E., 90, of Westfield, died Saturday, July 7, 2007. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

PRESQUE ISLE – Rue E. Cray, 90, died Saturday July 7, 2007 at the Caribou Veterans Home.  He was born September 29, 1916 in Westfield the son of James W. and Eunice (Cray) Cray.  Rue served his country during WWII in the European Theatre.  After his discharge he worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Presque Isle and then as a bus driver and custodian for the Opportunity Training Center.  Rue’s faith in God was very important to him and he was a longtime member of the Full Gospel Assembly in Presque Isle where he served as a deacon for many years.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many happy times bird hunting and fishing with his loving wife Laura.  He is survived by three children, a son Ivan and his wife Lisa of Brookhaven, Miss., two daughters, Goldenia Farley and her husband Robert of Lewiston, and Evelyn Moro of Presque Isle, eleven grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, two brothers Gilbert and Paul both of Presque Isle, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents Rue was predeceased by his wife Laura, a son and daughter-in-law Merlin W. and Deborah Cray, four brothers and a sister.  The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to those who helped Rue during these last years.  Friends called 7-9 P.M. Tuesday at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home 30 Church St. Presque Isle.  Funeral services will be conducted 1 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Earl Drost officiating.  Interment with military honors will take place following the service at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle.  A reception will be held following the committal at the Church of Jesus on Chapman St..
