Maine cancer group seeks 2019 volunteers

MAINE — The American Cancer Society is seeking local volunteers to be a part of the annual Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events, the Society’s signature non-competitive fundraiser walks, throughout the state of Maine.

One local event is the 2019 Relay for Life, which is planned in Caribou on Saturday, June 22.

Community volunteers are the backbone of the society, and by lending just a little bit of your time you can make a direct impact to its life-saving mission. Funds raised by Relay For Life and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer help the American Cancer Society provide free information and support for people facing the disease today, and fund cancer research that will help protect future generations.

A wide variety of roles and time commitments for local Event Leadership Teams are available. To learn more, visit http://Cancer.org/Maine or call 800-227-2345.
