Easter Bunny to visit Mapleton

A reminder for all kids and their parents: the Easter Bunny will make an appearance at the Mapleton Lions Hall from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, April 3. The Mapleton Daze Committee used its special connection to invite him to come and meet the kids of Mapleton, Castle Hill and Chapman.

Because he is so happy to come and meet the kids, he will have goodie bags available for the first 150 kids in a meet-and-greet drive-thru. These goodies will be for kids only. The hall is in downtown Mapleton at 1713 Main Street.

Since this a fundraiser, the Mapleton Daze Committee is suggesting a donation of $5 per child plus a donated nonperishable food item (like a box of macaroni and cheese or cereal) to help support the Tri-Town Community Cupboard located at the town office.

While the Easter Bunny visits the kids in their vehicles, a photographer will be there to take pictures. So plan to get there by 10 a.m., because when the treats are gone, they are gone.

Laurie Boucher from the Mapleton Daze Committee said this will be a fun event in a difficult year.

“We want to put some smiles on their faces, so tell your family and friends.  Help spread the word about the East Bunny Meet and Greet Visit,” she said.

All donations will go towards Mapleton Daze 2021, and food items go to the Community Cupboard at the Mapleton Town Office.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Lynnelle Foster, Mapleton Daze president.

Fundraiser Successful

Mapleton Daze President Lynnelle Foster was very happy for the excellent turnout for the Mapleton Daze spaghetti drive-thru fundraiser on Saturday March 20.  She also expressed her appreciation for all the volunteers who came out to make the event go smoothly.

In a message to friends and neighbors, Foster added, “Thank you to everyone who attended our drive-thru supper last night.  We sold over 150 meals and we hope you enjoyed each and every one of them.”

The funds raised will be used to continue the traditions that have been built into the annual Mapleton Daze festival.
