HOULTON, Maine — The Northern Maine Moose hosted the Class A Bangor High School Rams on May 22. It was a well fought battle throughout the whole game with a 1- or 2-point deficit throughout the game for both teams. It was back and forth action with the Rams winning 10-8.
Isaiah Irvin led with five goals, one assist. Colton Simoes, Adrian Norton and Connor Lynds each had one goal and one assist. Brandon Barton had one assist.
The Northern Maine Moose held their own throughout the game on both offense and defense making it hard for Bangor to find a rhythm.
Coach Adam Simoes said, “I’m proud of how the boys played this evening. When you face a well-seasoned Class A team you put in the extra work during practice, strategies and planning. The boys put it all together tonight and I’m so proud of them. We found our rhythm tonight on both offense and defense. We appreciate the support of the crowd tonight. Some parents dropped off coolers of cold drinks for the hot and humid evening and we could hear the crowd cheering. We’re so appreciative of the support from the community.”
