    HOULTON – Alberie J. Martin 87, died Dec. 29, 2010 at a local healthcare facility. He was born May 22, 1923 at Fort Kent, the son of Joseph P. and Modeste (Bouchard) Martin.
    Alberie went in the CCC at an early age. He married Mattie (Hunter) Faulkner and helped raise her eight children. Alberie worked for Thompson Buick/Butler Motors in Houlton for many years and worked on his own at his Houlton auto body shop.
    Alberie is survived by two brothers, Norman J. Martin of Ashland, Paul J. Martin of Kokomo, IN; two sisters, Rolande Woodward of Charles Town, WV, Blanche Lajoie of New York; several stepchildren; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, his parents, two brothers, Reginald and Harold Martin, three sisters, Della Fuller, Lottie Blanchette and Theresa Garnblin.
    Graveside service at Saint Mary’s Cemetery will be announced in the spring. Gifts may be made in Alberie’s memory to Madigan Estates Activity Fund, c/o Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park Street, Houlton, ME, 04730.
