DERRY – Priscilla (Copeland) Stewart, RN, 65, of Derry, NH, quietly slipped away on July 30, 2008 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mrs. Stewart was born on October 7, 1942, at her grandmother’s home in Lincoln Center, ME, a daughter of the late Searle E. and Madeline (McLaughlin) Flanders.
Her compassion for others allowed her to excel in her nursing career in the Maternity and Delivery Room. She was very proud of all the new faces she helped introduce into the world in her 20 plus year career at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle.
Mrs. Stewart is survived by her adoring husband, Dale G. Stewart of Derry; one son, Brian Copeland and his wife Wendy and their foster children of Mapleton; one brother, Darrell and his wife, Sheila of Lincoln. Also surviving are her three step-children, Dale Stewart, Jr. and his wife, Brenda and their children Megan, Cameron and a great-grandson, Jayden of Weare, NH, Melissa Goodsell and her husband, Chuck and their children, Torey and Brandon of Clinton, MA and Mason Stewart of Nashua.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, August 3, 2008, from 3-5 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 5 p.m. at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Grant Memorial Methodist Church, Presque Isle, at 1 p.m. where a reception to followed in the church fellowship hall.
