FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The fifth annual Maine Basketball Hall of Fame Golf Scramble will be held Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015 at Aroostook Valley Country Club.
The four-person cash scramble and skins game has an 11 a.m. shotgun start. Registration is from 10-10:45 a.m. and the field is limited to the first 40 paid teams. The entry fee is $65 per person and includes a steak or chicken barbecue.
Golfers will have a chance to win five hole-in-one prizes — a 2015 Honda Civic supplied by Griffeth Honda of Presque Isle and a $10,000 cash prize sponsored by The Par & Grill in Caribou.
Closest to pin and longest drive competitions will also be held. An auction, including sports and concert tickets and other items, will also be held, with proceeds from the tourney going to the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame.
