The festival’s name is a nod to the town’s nickname “Christmas Town” which dates back to the 1950s.

The four days of events featured live entertainment, sports tournaments and a variety of family-themed activities.
Fair association organizers said they decided to change the date from around July 4 to make it more accessible for attendees and participants.
The parade is one of Maine’s largest and is the culmination of the weeklong Fort Fairfield festival.
The annual picnic was postponed from July 6 due to rain.
