U.S. CELLULAR, Wintergreen Arts Center, Presque Isle Recreation Department, and local emergency officials hosted a Family Safety Day Saturday at the Aroostook Centre Mall. Family Safety Day was designed to teach families about cellular phone safety and emergency procedures, and featured games, paper mache masks, pumpkin painting, and a free children’s movie. TWO-YEAR-OLD Jacob Pangburn of Presque Isle went batty over painting at the children’s art studio at the Wintergreen Arts Center during Saturday’s Family Safety Day. During the event, local safety officials offered fingerprinting, dental impressions and video interviewing, and also demonstrated Halloween costume and trick or treating safety.
