Davis, Qualey score in all-star game

    The Maine Soccer Coaches 14th annual Senior Bowl will be held on Sunday at Hampden Academy.
    In the boy’s game, Katahdin’s Marshall Davis and Ethan Qualey each scored a goal, along with Presque Isle’s Warren Zubrick, Brunswick’s Matt Peabody and Machias’ Jacob Stevens for a 5-3 victory over the West.
     Netkeepers for the East were Caribou’s Eric Brown and Searsport’s Dan Peach.
    Scoring for the West were Scarborough’s Ian Philbrick, Yarmouth’s John Murphy on a penalty kick and St. Dom’s Matthew Barlion.
    Goalies for the West were Scarborough’s Adam Blanchard, Westbrook’s Galen Perkins and Falmouth’s Adam Lamoureux.
    In the girl’s game, the West won 3-2, as Yarmouth’s Tess Beem scored twice and Windham’s Jenn Levine scored once. Assists went to Portland’s Brittany Ridge and Mt. Abram’s Rebecca London.
    Lisbon’s Samantha Purcell and Valley’s Alyssa Vitalone combined in goal.
    For the East, George Stevens Academy’s Alida Peake and Waterville’s Stephanie Whitten each scored a goal, assisted by Presque Isle’s Sarah Porter.
    Protecting the goal for the East were Lewiston’s Katie Cobb and Bangor Christian’s Moriah Bech.
