To the editor:
At 12:43 a.m. today (February 27), I was watching television. One of my windows overlooks the corner of Water and Pleasant streets.
A black, reasonably late model pickup drove up and stopped at the Salvation Army dumpster. The driver, a man of about 5-foot, 11-inches and probably 170 pounds, then put several bags of garbage into the dumpster before driving away. So, it appears that one local person has found an innovative way of avoiding garbage fees, even at the expense of Houlton’s Salvation Army.
