Grade 8 CMS
Many skiers from all around the county recently participated in the Dash for Cash. On February 28 the CMS ski team raced in a number of sprints. The Lindon Square parking lot was covered in snow and groomed to perfection for our races. The traffic crept by, watching the race and many other observers watched from the street above.
Bekah Walker was one of many students participating in the Caribou Downtown Ski Dash for Cash.
We gave awards for the fastest male skier and the fastest female skier. Ginger Kieffer was the fastest female skier and Kevin Strid was the fastest male skier. They both won cash for our school as did the top three skiers. There was also a high school division and an open division.
This event was a celebration of Caribou’s 150th Anniversary. This is just one of many events that will be happening throughout the year. As for the Dash for Cash, we are hoping that is will be an annual race. So, next year come and ski or just watch and enjoy all of the food and people.
