Officer of the Year Joseph J. Schools

    Staff Sergeant Joseph J. Schools of Houlton was named the Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for the Maine Army National Guard.
    Schools is a distinguished member of the 488th Military Police company in Houlton.
    He is the son of Ron and Pat Schools of Cary Plantation and attended Hodgdon schools.
    Schools lives in Houlton with his wife Alexis and daughter, Savana.
    He will compete in New York later in May  for the New England regional competition.
