To the editor:
I want to thank authorities for filling in the potholes on Nebraska Road. Tires and shocks will no longer quiver in fear, when drivers approach Nebraska Road. Car frames will no longer rattle and shake like the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, when it is under attack by the Klingons. Small animals will be able to walk in the grass along the side of the road in safety. They will no longer live in fear that a driver will drive through the grass and bush to get a smoother ride. Local garages will make less money, because they will perform fewer front-end alignments. And, ambulance-chaser lawyers will give out fewer neck braces to whip-lashed clients.
