Parker new HPD sergeant

PROMOTED — Effective May 13, 2009, Officer Frederick Parker was promoted to sergeant. Parker replaces Troy Fitzpatrick who left the department in April to pursue other endeavors. Parker has been with the department since November 2008 and has been instrumental in organizing the Citizens Police Academy and the police department’s memorial service for fallen police officers. Parker retired after 26 years with the Del Ray Police Department in Del Ray, Florida at the rank of sergeant. He will work evenings supervising the patrol staff and overseeing dispatch operations.
