Sesquicentennial Queens’ Tea

    Preparations are in full swing for the Queens’ Tea, hosted by members of the Caribou Lioness organization and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, which will take place  Sat., September 5. at the Chan Center, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Advanced tickets are $3 and or $5 on the day of the event. Tickets may still be purchased at  Caribou Food Trend, One Stop, the Caribou Chamber or from any sponsoring club member of the Caribou Lioness Club and Beta Sigma Phi.       The public is invited to come and enjoy refreshments while meeting with the past and current Miss Caribou Queens. To date, 27 former Caribou queens will be attending the Tea and participating in the parade, ranging from the years from 1935 to 2009.  Help celebrate the historical significance of these women in Caribou’s history.
 Volunteers are reminded to deliver baked goods to 54 Pioneer Ave. on Friday, Sept. 4. Pick-up is also available by calling 498-8605.
