On Fridays after a long week’s work, employees at Paradis’ Shop ‘n Save in Caribou sometimes have the option of donating $2 to a pool, which allows them to participate in a “Dress-down Day,” while working.

Employees at Paradis’ Shop ‘n Save in Caribou recently donated funds raised through their “dress-down Friday,” to the local Red Cross. During this event, shoppers also had a choice to donate toward the local disaster relief fund. Employees and shoppers raised $150 toward this cause. Joyce Knorr, Aroostook County branch manager American Red Cross, Pine Tree chapter, recently acknowledged the $150 donation at the local supermarket with Keith Boucher, assistant manager and Dana Corbin, store manager, center.

The Aroostook County branch of the American Red Cross, Pine Tree chapter, was the recent recipient of these funds, combined with the donations from shoppers at the store, when $150 was presented to the local disaster relief fund.
Joyce Knorr, Aroostook County branch manager American Red Cross, gratefully accepted the donation stating,  “The support from the Paradis’ Shop ‘n Save employees and management is to be commended, especially in these hard economic times.”
