Trout sale offered by SASWCD

    The Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District’s Trout Sale is back for 2010. SASWCD will be holding a sale of brook trout for pond restocking with Mt. Springs Trout Farm.
    Prices for brook trout are $2.19 for five-to-six-inch fish and $2.79 for six-to-seven-inch fish. Trout will be bagged on-site and there will be a $5 per bag fee (50 five-to-six-inch fish per bag or 33 six-to-seven-inch per bag). Orders must be received by SASWCD by Thursday, March 19.
    Current stocking permits from Inland Fisheries and Wildlife must be presented to SASWCD at placement of order. Permit applications are valid for five years and may be picked up at the SASWCD office or downloaded online at http://www.state.me.us/ifw/licenses_permits/pdfs/fishstocking.pdf.    
    Participants will be notified at a later date with trout pick-up details.
