Daniel Deprez exits the voting booth saying “it’s always important for me to vote as a citizen.” Cathy O’Leary, warden of the election, said “we’ve been very pleased with the steady turnout.” At presstime she estimated about 700 Houlton residents had voted. O’Leary attributed referendums, the school budget and candidate competition to good voter participation for a primary election. See election results in the next issue.
