The St. John Valley Senior Golf Association held a tournament Aug. 11 in Houlton, with 82 players participating.
Gary Greene of the Covered Bridge course shot the low gross score of 74, while Ken Hensler of Caribou had the low net score of 58.
Division A gross winners were: first, Greene, 74; Mike Fleming, Houlton, 74; and Steve Edwards, VaJoWa, 75. Net, first, Bill Casavant, Presque Isle, 64; Pat O’Brien, Covered Bridge, 65; and Stephen Sweetser, Presque Isle, 67.
Division B gross winners were: first, Fred Putnam, Houlton, 79; Roger Ouellette, Fort Kent, 83; and Chet Chase, VaJoWa, 84; Net, Dale Plourde, Caribou, 69; Darrell Anderson, Covered Bridge, 70; and Walter Peabody, Houlton, 70.
Division C gross winners were: first, Bev Reid, Mars Hill, 81; Dan Libby, Fort Kent, 85; and Dave Scullion, Portage, 86. Net, Dave Ricker, Aroostook Valley, 66; Ed Quinlan, VaJoWa, 68; and Al Condon, Presque Isle, 68.
Division D gross winners were: first, Gerald Clark, Presque Isle, 83; Dick Gray, Houlton, 85; and Eric Scott, Caribou, 88. Net, first, Terry Duffy, VaJoWa, 64; Ray Derrick, Woodland, 66; and Fred Hebert, Limestone, 68.
Division E gross winners were: first, Ken Delano, VaJoWa, 91; Herb Williamson, Presque Isle, 91; and Richard Raymond, Fort Kent, 92. Net, first, Hensler, 58; second, Al Giberson, Presque Isle, 66; and Jim Kelley, Portage, 69.
