AR Michael Mink SrFORT FAIRFIELD – Michael A. Mink, Sr., 46, husband of Mary Ann Mink, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, September 30, 2010, at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born May 20, 196,4 in Biddeford, the son of Roland R. and Mary Jane (Lamirande) Mink. He attended South High School in Worcester, MA. Worcester is also where he met his wife, “the love of his life” and started a family twenty-five years ago. Michael was a hard worker, he worked as a roofer and subcontractor for many years. He was a very loving father who took pride in his children. Michael enjoyed spending quality time with his best friend, his son, Michael Jr., collecting and listening to records, he also looked forward to boating and fishing with his daughter, Mariah, and his loyal pet, FiFi. He also enjoyed nature and long country drives with his family. Mike was known for wearing his sunglasses day and night, playing his records and his funny phrases like “Poptart”. He will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Mink was predeceased by his mother, Mary Jane Mink; and paternal grandmother, Theresa Mink and is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Thompson) Mink; daughter, Mariah A. Mink, both of Fort Fairfield; son, Michael A. Mink, Jr. of Caribou; his father, Roland R. Mink, Sr. of Worcester, Mass.; two brothers, Roland R. Mink, Jr. of Barre, Mass., Jayson LeBlanc of Worcester Mass.; four sisters, Ann Mink, Patty Mink-Prizio, Marlena Mink, all of Worcester, Mass., Donna Gonzales of Barre, Mass.; his father-in-law, Roland F. Thompson of Caribou; several nieces and nephews.

Friends called from 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Mink, to establish an education scholarship fund for the benefit of his children, c/o Rita Evans, 30 Charles Street, Caribou, 04736.
