Caribou – Archie J. Godin, 66, died October 25, 2010, at his Caribou residence. He was born in Lille, March 19, 1944, the son of the late Damasse and Melvina (Vaillancourt) Godin. Mr. Godin was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and was employed at Potato Service in Presque Isle for a number of years.
He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Beaulieu, and Lena Michaud both of Caribou, Elaine Godin of Presque Isle and Jackie Malone of New Hampshire; one son, Archie D. Godin of Texas; one brother, Armand Godin of Caribou; and three sisters, Jeanne Fortin, Noella Deschaine and Edwina “Debbie” Chabre all of Caribou; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mr. Godin will be sadly missed by a special friend, Penny Jackson, of Caribou.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou from 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2010, until time of services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Parish of the Precious Blood, Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. Aaron Damboise, officiating.
