Bradley’s: First in convenience

Whether you’re looking for a great meal, snack, car wash or need gas at midnight, Bradley’s 24-Hour Citgo and Car Wash, 46 North St., Presque Isle, is always open.

Mike and Carla Cyr, owners, along with sons Brad, Doug and Greg, have been serving the community for 15 years.

“We opened the car wash 25 years ago, the store 15,” said Mike Cyr.

The convenience store offers a variety of snack products and necessities. It carries an extensive dining menu, with items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The store has pastries, six flavors of Green Mountain coffee, six cappuccino and nine Slush Puppy flavors and frozen drinks. From meals to desserts, home-style cooking keeps customers coming back.

The store has the largest cooler of any convenience store around, with 12 doors and a wide selection of cold items and three brands of milk.

“We have an air-conditioned dining section that seats 32,” said Cyr. “We offer homemade pastries and Carla’s own home-cooked creations, including daily specials like chicken stew, lasagna, fetrozinni, primavera and fresh-baked bread.”

Drive-up service makes purchases quick and easy.

“Our drive-up window’s open 7 a.m.-6 p.m. It’s convenient. Call ahead and we’ll have your order ready on arrival,” continued Cyr. “Be it a medical condition, sleepy kids in the car or it’s cold out, window service enables shopping with ease.”

Deli hours: 5 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday; 6 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday; Sundays 7 a.m.-2 p.m.

Bradley’s offers pay-at-the-pump gas, with full service 7 a.m.-6 p.m. The car wash offers full- and self-serve options.

“We also participate in the Grace for Vets program, through the International Carwash Association, washing veterans’ cars for free on Veteran’s Day,” said Cyr.

Bradley’s firsts in the city include: 24-hour gas and C-store, deli service and drive-through window. The store also accepts EBT, debit and credit cards.

The business employs about 10 full-time and 12 part-time.

“The fact we’re open all the time — 24/7 — means we’re there for customers, day and night, providing the best service possible,” said Cyr. “Customer service is everything. It’s what separates our store from others.”

Cyr sees benefits in a locally-owned and –operated business.

“The profits stay in the community. When business is good, it’s good for Presque Isle,” he said.
