CARIBOU — The annual Turkey Trot Road Race will go off at 10 a.m. sharp at Caribou High School on Saturday, Nov. 24. Walkers will begin at 9:45 a.m. and registration, which takes place in the gym lobby, will start at 8:30 a.m.

The fee to participate is $13, with $1 going toward a 50-50 raffle that will take place upon conclusion of the race.

This year’s race will be the same course as in the past, heading out on the Woodland Center Road from the high school then out and back on the Lombard Road.

The traditional Turkey Trot awards will be given to the top age group award winners in the following categories: under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over, as well as the overall male and female.

The post-race meal will be the delicious traditional turkey-topped pizza.

“We hope to see a great turnout this year and really look to emphasize the concept of fitness and the health benefits that come along with it. The 5K is a great distance that even middle school-aged children can enjoy and run,” said race director Evan Graves.

A long sleeve T-shirt will be available to the first 60 runners to register. Contact Graves at gravespi@gmail.com for more information.
